Generative Digital Design

Graphic design and technology have been intertwined for decades and continues to be an exciting field to explore and push expectations outward. Generative design, or “algorithmic image creation” is a process of using computer code to drive creative development and create complex visuals that are generated by programming. However, as with any technology, it is best when used as a creative tool.

This blog post discusses the use of Generative Digital Design as a combined process of computer code, visual design, mathematics, and a healthy amount of controlled chaos.

Shriners Children's Texas: Level 6 Experience Design

Shriners Children’s Texas has been seeing ongoing renovations since 2019. Although the original scope of work was to only renovate a few key areas to merge services that were moving from the Houston location, JZ Design Group had the honor to renovate nearly the entire hospital.

Our blog post discusses the integration of graphics with the interior design process to create an immersive experience. Level 6 is the Outpatient Clinics floor and is one of the first floors to have been completed.

Shriners Children's Texas: Color Palette Story

JZ Design Group was awarded the move and consolidation project of Shriners Hospital for Children Houston to Shriners Children’s Galveston in late Fall 2019. The initial project began with renovations at Shriners Galveston for areas to accommodate new Orthopedic clinical services to Galveston’s existing Burn Unit and treatment services.

This blog post discusses the color palette and graphics, which are playful and bold, and how the final design appeals to all ages benefiting not only the patients, but their family, caregivers, and hospital staff.
